Most of us do consider that life, itself, is a gamble. But for some, the risks and the challenges that our daily lives offer is not enough so people risk things such as money to gain more excitement. Some use money to enter recreational and exciting activities while some use money to gamble, even in simple ways such as buying a raffle ticket to a more fun yet risky place as casinos.

Gambling in casinos is getting more popular and more accessible as anyone in the proper age can be in one either by visiting a popular city famous for casinos such as Las Vegas and gambling through the Internet with online casinos.

Playing in the Internet could be cheaper and more comfortable than the need to pay for travel and lodge, gambling money not yet included, to be able to have fun in famous casinos. But now, there is a more fun way to gamble in a casino while you enjoy your vacation touring around the world. Most cruise ships now have casinos on board and the best part of this is that you get to have fun gambling with the cost of your transportation; lodging and meals all in one as cruise ships offer packages that will surely give you a satisfying and luxurious experience on board.

As the demand for casinos on board grows, so does the demand for cruise ship jobs for dealers and casino staffs to manage the games for the passengers. There is almost always an opening for cruise ship casino crews and most of the positions include:

Casino Manager – requires casino and managerial experience as this position has responsibilities of overseeing the entire operations of the casino including accounting and staff management.

Assistant Casino Manager – takes orders from the Casino Manager and aids in managing the operations of the casino. This position usually begins on board as a croupier with the possibilities of being promoted to Casino Manager.

Dealer or Croupier – requires experience in a casino (blackjack, poker, roulette, baccarat).

Slot Technician – requires mechanical or electrical background and is responsible for the maintenance, including repairs and upgrades, of all devices and machines in the casino (may or may not include casino computers).

Cashier – requires background or education in accounting and would be responsible for cash/chip exchange and accounting of the casino revenue.

Casino Waiter/Service Crews – has the responsibility of making sure that the guest or gambles are comfortable and that they get everything that they would need such as cocktails or finger foods and other services such as massage and more.

International custom laws only allow on board casinos to operate while in international water that is why working hours for a casino crew is not that long. A casino crew, with salary that can range from $1400 to $4000, may work while on international waters and have a day off while at port.
